Texas A&M University-Commerce will honor the men and women of the U.S. Reserves on Wed. Nov. 11th during its 18th annual Veterans’ Vigil.

The event will culminate with a 301st Fighter Wing (F-16s) flyover at 3:30 p.m. outside the Sam Rayburn Student Center.

The 301st squadron’s flyover will include the “missing man” formation, an aerial salute to our fallen soldiers. LtCol. Ted Oats, U.S. Air Force Reserve (retired) and our director of veterans affairs, flew with the 301st during his military career.

The squadron will take off from Ft. Worth, and carry the A&M-Commerce university flag in their lead aircraft. The flag will be returned to campus after the flight and hung up in our Veterans' Affairs office.
