Deputy Mueller responded to the Red River Regional Hospital regarding a gunshot victim. Deputy made contact with the victim who stated he had been accidently shot by his juvenile son. The father and son were hunting on their property in the northeast Fannin County. The father and son were walking down a pool embankment when the son accidently discharged his .22 caliber rifle striking his father in the back. The father and son were able to get to a residence located close by and had the individual at the residence call for an ambulance. The gunshot wound was located in the left shoulder and determined not to be life threatening.

 

Deputy Robinson responded to a theft report on CR5025. The complainant told the deputy that an unknown person(s) had stolen his 2004 Honda ATV. The ATV was parked next to his barn and was stolen sometime between October 22 and October 23, 2009. Loss to the complainant is $4,000.

 

Sergeant Barker responded to a theft report on CR4443. The complainant advised the deputy that an unknown person(s) had stolen his 12’ flatbed trailer. The complainant told Sergeant Barker that he noticed the trailer missing when he returned home on November 5, 2009. The complainant did give the deputy the name of a person of interest that may know about the missing trailer. Loss to the complainant is $1,000.

 

Deputy Costa responded to a missing juvenile report in the Windom area. Information provided by the mother of the missing juvenile indicated the last time the juvenile was seen was approximately 1:30 PM. After an extensive search the juvenile could not be located in the area. Further investigation by sheriff’s deputies found that the missing juvenile female was located in Phoenix, AZ. Based on the initial investigation it was determined that the juvenile had met an individual on the internet and with the assistance of another person had gone to Dallas, TX and took a bus to Arizona. Sheriff’s deputies contacted the Phoenix authorities and the juvenile was located. She was detained by the juvenile authorities in Phoenix awaiting the arrival of her parents to bring her to Texas. This case is currently under investigation.
