The No. 24 Savoy Lady Cardinals were simply too much for Dallas Faith Family Academy when the two teams squared off Tuesday night in Savoy for a Region II-A bi-district match.
Savoy won game one, 25-12, and then the Lady Cardinals put together back-to-back 25-5 wins for the sweep.
In the opener, Savoy senior Lauren Camp and Savoy sophomore middle blocker Bailey McGehee each had early kills. Camp came through with a pair of aces and Savoy was off and running with a 5-1 lead.
Natalie Brasher chalked up an ace and a kill. McGehee slipped an ace past the Dallas Faith Family Academy Lady Eagles to give Savoy a 9-2 advantage. Savoy easily pulled away to win, 25-12.
The Lady Cardinals overpowered their opponent in the next two games, winning them both with identical 25-5 scores to win the bi-district match in straight sets.
Savoy will advance to face Evant in the area round scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday in Alvarado.
