Farmersville Lady Farmers sweep Mineola to win bi-district

Kills rained down on the court Monday night in Wills Point as the Farmersville Lady Farmers took an authoritative win in the bi-district playoff match against Mineola. The ladies won the first point, and never looked back, winning 25-15, 25-13, 25-11.
Strong turnouts from both towns, including loud student sections, rocked the gym. Farmersville finished as runner-up in District 13-3A, and Mineola the third place team from District 14.
The Farmersville team is led by four seniors – Veronica Berry, Shelby Eaves, Becky Forbus, and Tara McGuire – who are bound and determined to prolong their senior season. The Lady Farmers are coached by Amy Bucek.
Next up for Farmersville will be District 16 winner Texarkana Pleasant Grove for the Area round of the playoffs. This match will be played in Gilmer Thursday, November 5.
