October Warrior Boy and Girl of the Month

For the month of October, James Talley and Lauren Reeves were selected as Senior Warrior Boy and Girl of the Month for

Seniors are selected by the faculty for their good character, scholarship, citizenship, leadership, dependability, and participation in extra-curricular activities/and or service to the community.
James is the son of Stephen and Sheila Talley and he is the youngest of brothers Sam, Paul and Michael.
At BHS James is involved in varsity football, power lifting, and track. This year he is the captain of the 2009 Warrior team and has also been awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy for the 2008 season. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the current treasurer. He also participates in UIL speaking events such as debate and impromptu speaking. James has also been a part of the UIL one-act play where he was selected as an All-Star cast member.
When not at school James likes being outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, reading and spending time with his friends.
James has been active in the community through boy scouts and his church. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout when he lead 25 volunteers in painting
After graduation, James plans on going to serve a two year mission for his church. He also wants to play college football somewhere and then become a teacher and coach in
Lauren is the daughter of Ronnie Reeves and Justin Reeves and has one brother, Tristan Reeves.
At BHS Lauren is a varsity cheerleader and plays varsity basketball and tennis. She is in the National Honor Society and the treasurer of Student Council, as well as the treasurer of the Senior class of 2010. She has received the Bonham Academic Excellence Award every year of high school so far.
Lauren loves sports, singing, dancing, cheering, spending time with family and friends and attending her church, the Living Word Church of God. She also volunteers and has helped with the Special Olympics track and field for the past four years.
After graduation, Lauren plans on going to UNT and get a degree in physical therapy and maybe own her own clinic some day.
The seniors selected each month receive a free lunch, compliments of Cappy’s Café, with the administration or a member of the Board of Trustees, have their pictures taken to be displayed in the school library and have their pictures and bios published in the local media.
Once selected, the seniors are then eligible to become Warrior Boy and Girl of the Year which will be announced at the Senior Awards Assembly in May. September Boy and Girl were Jacob Wilson and Kasidy Kinkade.
