George Elton Crossland, 81 of Windom, Texas passed away Wed. October 28, 2009 at Red River Regional Hosptial in Bonham, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00P.M. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home and burial will be at McCraws Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Terry Cunningham will officiate and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday prior to the service.

Mr. Crossland was born April 14, 1928 in Windom, Texas to parents Gus Stavis Crossland and Myrtle Hodges Crossland. He was of the Baptist faith and was a farmer.

George is survived by the mother of his children, Melba Crossland of Windom, TX; Daughters, Edith Clark and Husband, Dallas of Windom, TX; Marylyn Parish and Husband, Johnny of Wolfe City, Texas; Carolyn Stone and Husband, Roy of Savoy, Texas;  Jan Vest and Husband, Jack of Savoy, Texas; Sons, Larry Crossland of Windom, Texas; Stavis Crossland and Wife, Gayle of Bonham, Texas; Chuck Crossland and Wife, Helen of Dodd City, Texas and Ricky Crossland and Wife, Patricia of Bonham, Texas. 21 Grandchilden and 30 Great-Grandchildren. Brother, Wayne Crossland and Wife, Carol of Windom, Texas.
