Grayson County College’s Center for Workplace Learning offers three beginning dance classes starting in October.

Participants learn the dance of Caribbean during Beginning Salsa. The class meets Oct. 1-22 on Thursdays.

Beginning Country & Western teaches the basics of this genre, concentrating on the two-step and the waltz. The class meets Oct. 9-30 on Fridays.

Dances that evolved during the Arthur Murray era are taught in Beginning Swing. The class meets Oct. 29-Nov. 19 on Thursdays.

Taught by Amy West, all classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at Images of Dance located at 519 W. Main, Suite 102 in Denison. Cost is $60 per couple and $40 per single.

“These dance classes always attract a spirited group of participants,” said Ron deCento, director of continuing education at the college. “Ms. West is an excellent instructor.”

Registration may be completed in person in the CWL on GCC’s Main Campus or by phone at 903-463-8765 if paying with MasterCard, Discover or Visa credit cards.
