Godbey-Helm wed August 8

Morgan Nicole Godbey and Travis Benton Helm were married on August 8, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Bonham. Bro. Kevin Towery officiated the ceremony.
 
Morgan is the daughter of David and Paula Godbey of Bonham, and the granddaughter of Bobby and June Godbey and the Late Paul and Clara Hawkins all of Bonham. She is a 2008 graduate of Bonham High School and is pursuing a degree in elementary education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. 

Travis is the son of Clifford and JoNell Helm of Denison, and grandson of Benton and Gladys Helm and Doretta Lang and the late John Lang all of Denison. He is a 2006 graduate of Denison High School and graduated from Grayson County College with a degree in computer-aided drafting. He is employed with Cole Services in Denison.
 
Matron of honor was Heather Godbey, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Taylor Cox, Monnie Akers and Barbara Wineinger, friends of the bride.

Best Man was Clifford Helm, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Benton Helm, grandfather of the groom, Jon Johnson and Lucas Bagby, friends of the groom.
 
Ushers were Bret and Jared Godbey, brothers of the bride, and Dustin Helm, cousin of the groom.
 
Wedding music was provided by Beth Helm, sister of the groom, Mark Rattan and Cody Whittenburg.

Guest registrars were Emily Keels and Rae Lynn McFarlin. Wedding Coordinators were Stacy Hunnicutt, Carolyn Towery and Lynnette Lackey.
 
The bride's parents were hosts to the reception at the First Baptist Life Center. Assisting were Megan Parsons, Sharon Towery, Mary Adams and Cindy Godbey.
 
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grooms parents at their home in Denison.

The couple resides in Southmayd after a honeymoon in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

 
Pre-wedding events included: a couples wedding shower at the Lodge at Parker Place, hosted by Michael and Cindy Godbey; a bridal shower in Denison, hosted by Beth Helm and Doretta Lang; a bridal shower at FBC Bonham, hosted by ladies of the church; and a shower hosted by Sharon Towery at her home.
