It was a rainy Friday night, but still one that Bonham High School senior Shelly Benton will always remember.  Miss Benton, a BHS senior, was crowned as the 2009 Bonham High School Homecoming Queen at halftime of the Bonham - Whitesboro football game. 

On hand to place the crown on the new reigning BHS Homecoming Queen was 2008 Homecoming Queen Kristen Fox.

The 2009 Homecoming Court consists of Freshman Duchess Aubranee Robison, Sophomore Duchess Haley Walker, Junior Duchess Alex Ingold and 2009 Homecoming Queen Shelly Benton.

Shelly is the daughter of Jay and Donna Benton and she was escorted by her father, Jay, on this memorable occasion. 

Shelly plans to attend Dallas Baptist Universary next fall and major in missionary ministry.
