The family of Jack Randal Morris is praying for a miracle and in desperation they are asking for North Texans to help find the missing man.

Morris, 48, was reported missing by his family on the evening of Wednesday, August 12.

Wayne Walker, Chief Investigator for the Fannin County Sheriff's Office, says Morris was last seen at approximately 10:00 p.m. on August 12.

Law enforcement personnel would later find the vehicle Morris was reported to be driving.  The vehicle was found approximately four miles from the missing man's residence, parked west of the intersection of FM271 and FM1550, near where the old Cotton Center cotton gin was once located.

Morris's family is now asking people to do a thorough search of their property, check down their roads, look under bridges and in culverts.  They also suggest that old barns and sheds be searched.  And they ask that you to talk to neighbors and see if they will check their property as well.

Local pilots could also be a valuable source of information by reporting anything that might look like a clue in this case.

You can also print out this article and photo to display in stores or circulate them among friends, family and co-workers.  Email the information, too.

If anyone would like to participate in large-scale organized searches, please call 903-227-4495 for more information.

Under the direction of extended family member Gary Hughes and with a large tournout by Ivanhoe and Dodd City VFDs, 35-45 volunteers scoured the area around the communities of Cotton Center and Hail this past weekend, searching for clues to Morris's disappearance.

Another search will be conducted this weekend.
