Saturday, May 9 should be another wonderful weekend for the downtown McKinney Second Saturday festivities. Shops and restaurants will be open late and music venues will be heard from every street corner.

Last month the weather was a little cool, but shoppers and visitors were out in full force, enjoying the ambience that only McKinney can offer.

Laura Moore Fine Art Gallery

Laura Moore’s Fine Art Gallery is in its new location, closer to the square on Tennessee and Market Square on Louisiana now has an adorable Art Loft, featuring wonderful local artists.

Lynne Hubner’s artwork will be featured at La Misha, a wonderful little bistro.

Garret Art Gallery

The Garret Gallery will feature Michael Borne,(I love his work) among other fine local artists. Orison’s always has a great show. Downtown McKinney is the place to be on Second Saturday.

My favorite place to eat is Spoons, and Collin will take your order without writing a thing down, if you are one or group of eight (great pie).

Spoons

There are great places to eat and most will feature great music, karaoke and a great time.

Come out and enjoy spring and McKinney at its finest. Maybe I’ll see you there.

Take time to do a little window shopping...
