A Weekend of Wine and Roses

Enjoy "old roses and new friends" beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009, in Whitewright, Texas.  The spring celebration of blooming roses and new vintage wines will begin in downtown Whitewright.  Saturday will provide a structured tour, OR, you may join in at any point, or tour on your own.  There is NO FEE.

Many of the homes are 19th and early 20th century and specialize in antique roses.  All homes on the Tour are marked with a colorful banner in the yard.

Pick up a map downtown at Whitewright Chamber of Commerce, Let's Go Shopping, Caney Creek Nursery, Texoma Winery, and Grayson Hills Winery.

Directions:  From Dallas, take US 75 N to McKinney, exit US 75 N at Exit 45 for Hwy. 121 toward Bonham and drive 13.9 miles.  Turn left on TX 160 and drive 8.4 miles.  Whitewright, Texas is also at the intersections of Hwys. 69/160/11.

   2:15 p.m. - Grayson Hills Vineyard and Winery Tour
   3:15 p.m. - Texoma Winery and Vineyard Tour
   4:15 p.m. - Lenoir-Sage Winery
