Leonard Lady Tigers take two from Gunter Lady Tigers

The Leonard Lady Tigers and the Gunter Lady Tigers finished one game that had been rained out in the fourth inning and then played an entire game Tuesday evening.
 
In the make-up game, Lindsey Stanley picked up the win and went 3-for-4 at the plate to help her own cause in a 10-3 victory.
 
Leonard's Bree Zachary went 2-for-2 swinging the bat, Kayla Winkler went 2-for-3, Felicia Corbin was 2-for-4 and April Jones hammered out a hit.
Leonard jumped out to a 7-1 lead in game two and never looked back en route to a 15-6 win.
 
Winkler pitched five innings and fanned four batters, while Stanley worked two innings and had two strikeouts.
 
Winkler went 3-for-4, with a pair of triples and a double.  Kendra Hanson had a perfect 3-for-3 outing.
 
Brittany Garza and Stanley both went 2-for-3.
 
Felicia Corbin was 2-for-5 with a double.
 
These two victories move Leonard to 4-5 in district play, while Gunter drops to 1-8.
 
The Leonard Lady Tigers will be back in action Friday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. when they host the Howe Lady Bulldogs.
