Terri Hendrix music brightens any landscape
Just as the Texas wildflowers add dazzle and sparkle to the roadsides and meadows, Terri Hendrix's artistry brings that same kind of color to her songs and to her live performances!

Terri Hendrix walked away from her opera scholarship in college to allow her free spirit to explore other musical paths. She milked goats on Marion Williamson's Wilory Farm in exchange for this philanthropist's teaching her to play Mississippi-John-Hurt style guitar chops. Hendrix has paid tribute to her late teacher/mentor/friend by naming her record label, Wilory Records; by adopting a stubborn goat as her mascot; by naming her second album, Wilory Farm; and by writing the song, "Acre of Land" from her 2007 album, The Spiritual Kind.
For a time, Hendrix trucked around (literally, with her P.A. in the bed of her pickup) the Texas Hill Country, playing every small town honky-tonk and coffee house she could. Soon thereafter, her fans began adding up and that hasn't stopped since. Her grassroots fanbase spread like wildflowers across America and then to Europe.
When she decided to record her debut album in 1996, Two Dollar Shoes, she shopped around for a record label and was turned down by three, all of which are now out-of-business. Tenaciously, she released the album independently and now has nine self-released albums, each masterfully crafted. Hendrix is a lesson in empowerment, taking her own life and own business into her own hands, while fans & friends have cheered her on.
Her tunes have met with widespread Triple-A, Americana, and public radio support. For the past decade, she has toured constantly, playing before thousands in premiere events/festivals and playing in intimate gigs as well.
She observes that she likes "the sense of connection you're able to make with people through your music when they have a chance to grow with you. I've always thought of my fans as friends, and they're lifelong listeners of what I do."
Hendrix can play many genres and musical instruments. It's no wonder that Rick Allen/Harp wrote, "...anyone with a heart is hooked....candid, good-humored and intelligent singer-songwriter...a strong and unaffected singer." Come "get hooked" on Terri Hendrix....she's a positive addiction!!! For more information and song clips visit www.terrihendrix.com.
Lloyd Maines accompanies Terri in many of her shows. Maines, who just happens to be the father of Natalie Maines of The Dixie Chicks, is superb musician on his own. He is also a gifted producer and produces Hendrix's albums.
Mike Joyce, Washington Post, wrote, Hendrix's voice, intimate and expressive, is reason enough to keep listening, and the combination of Lloyd Maines' musicianship and production savvy seals the deal.
