Trenton defeated Savoy by the score of 10-0 in five innings Monday afternoon.
Nathan Henry got the start on the mound for Trenton and went 3 innings to get the win and move to 3-1 on the season. Henry gave up 1 hit, walked 0, and struck out 6. Brock Murphree pitched the 4th inning and retired the first 3 hitters and ended with 1 strikeout.
Ryan McCarley pitched the 5th and final inning allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.
Justin Hinton led Trenton hitters by going 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Ryan McCarley was 1-1 with 2 RBI's. Cramer Johnson was 1-2 with 2 RBI's. Nathan Henry had an RBI double. TJ Lynn had a single. Trevor Lynn reached on 2 walks. TJ Oquin reached on a walk. Brock Murphree had a walk and sac fly for an RBI. Randy Tripp reached on a walk.
Wheless took the loss on the mound for Savoy. He was relieved in the 4th inning by Gaspar.
Morris had a single for Savoy and Gaspar had a double.
The win brings Trenton's season record to 8-3 and district record to 2-0. The Tigers will back in action Saturday as they take on Avery and then will pick back up with district play the following week.
