Joao Felipe Barbosa, a senior kicker at Leonard High School, gave a verbal commitment to play football in the fall at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. 

Barbosa is an exchange student from Brazil and living in Fannin County.  He visited the Waldorf College campus on Feb. 23-24, 2009, where he informed head coach Gregg Youngblood of his intent to play at Waldorf College in 2009. 

Barbosa is awaiting the results of a TOEFL test, that will allow his admission to the NAIA school in Northern Iowa.
