Over 50 years ago, a trio of brothers ages 2, 4, and 6 started singing in their hometown of Abilene, Texas beginning a journey that's made musical history.  Now, they're coming to Texarkana's Historic Perot Theatre with a special Valentine's show.

Icons of country music, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will be in concert on Saturday, February 14 at 7:30pm, presented by TRAHC, the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council, Inc. and sponsored in part by CapitalOne Bank.

Larry, Steve, and Rudy continue to serve up their special brand of family harmony that spins romance with a lot of living.  First singing gospel on radio and TV when they were small children, they've gone from their West Texas roots to the Grand Ole Opry to Broadway. Throughout the 70s and 80s, The Gatlin Brothers lit up marquees and packed concert halls across America.

Although they made a decision to stop touring in 1992, the brothers never forgot their fans. So, when they got an offer a couple of years ago to return to the stage, they said OK…but strictly limited their number of engagements.  This year, they've included the Historic Perot Theatre so area audiences of all ages can enjoy an entertaining evening of pure Southern charm. Plus, it's a Valentine treat! "Something special for a special someone!"

Says Larry: "A long time ago we decided to make music for our fans and people who came to our shows, and I know that Steve, Rudy, and Larry are going to stand up and sing in tune every night."  Then, with a grin, "And, during the day, play as much golf as possible!"

Tickets for LARRY GATLIN and THE GATLIN BROTHERS are $43, $38, $32, $26*, and $6 with group and half-price* student discounts. Visit the Historic Perot Theatre Box Office, Corner of Third and Main Streets in Downtown Texarkana Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm or call 903.792.4992.  Buy online anytime at www.trahc.org.
