Fannin County officials sworn in

With Fannin County Judge Eileen Cox presiding, recently elected Fannin County officials were sworn in during a special meeting of Fannin County Commissioners Court on Monday, January 5, 2009.

6th District Judge Eric Clifford was the first to recite the oath of office, which was administered by 336th District Judge Lauri Blake.

The only other elected official being sworn in for the first time was Fannin County Commissioner Pct. 1 Gary Whitlock.  Whitlock was administered his oath of office by Fannin County District Attorney Richard Glaser.

Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore was sworn in by 336th District Judge Lauri Blake, Fannin County Commissioner Pct. 5 Dewayne Strickland was sworn in by Fannin County Judge Eileen Cox, while Fannin County Tax Assessor-Collector Pam Sweet-Richardson was administered her oath of office by Fannin County Clerk Tammy Rich.

Three Fannin County Constables were also sworn in.  Bob Clemons will serve as Pct. 2 Constable, Craig Nichols will serve as Constable of Pct. 1 and Tammy Nichols-Woods will serve as Pct. 3 Constable.
