FORT WORTH—The Kimbell Art Museum presents “Poetry in Ink,” a Friday Workshop for adults, on January 9, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. This afternoon program includes exhibition tours and an art workshop for adults of all ages.

An exploration of the ancient traditions of poetry and sumi-e in Chinese and Japanese masterpieces from the Kimbell’s permanent collection will lead to an art activity, which will include creating individual ink-painting scrolls.

The materials fee is $15 ($12 for Kimbell members). A light snack from the Buffet Restaurant is included. To register, contact the education department at 817-332-8451, ext. 297. This program is generously supported by Chase.
