Mary Kathryn Vest of Savoy, TX has earned an Associate of Arts in Teaching from Grayson County College in Denison, having completed the requirements for her AA degree on December 12, 2008; Mary Kathryn graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.95 GPA.

While attending GCC, she was active in the Honors College and Phi Theta Kappa, a Presidential Scholar each semester and a GCC 2008 Who’s Who Among College Students nominee.

Miss Vest has been accepted to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX where she will pursue a teaching degree with an Early Childhood-6 certification.

Mary Kathryn and her parents, Roy and Debbie Vest, are grateful to the Glaser Family Charitable Foundation, the Shep and Bonner Dorset Scholarship, the James H. & Doretha Gosnell Memorial Valhalla Scholarship and the GCC Honors College Scholarship funds for their financial assistance in her educational pursuit.
