The Friends of Hagerman have named Ronnie D. Barron as December Photographer of the Month.   Barron has a life-long appreciation for nature and recently purchased a Canon S31S digital camera to begin capturing the scenes he enjoys.  He describes himself as a total beginner with no training.   An album of twelve  photos taken at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge by Barron will be featured on the Friends website through the month.

Barron says that during his career with the military he lived in Alaska, California, Colorado and Oklahoma; then having lived as a teen in Savoy, Texas, he wanted to call Texas home and now lives in Gunter.  He is married and the father of a 17-year-old son.

Ronnie enjoys hunting, and was drawn for the bow-hunting season at Hagerman National WR this year.   Ronnie  is employed by the Eaton Corporation as a Field Service Engineer.
