Broken Bow: October 26. Elevation normal and clear. Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass fair on jigs and deep running crankbaits around structure and rocky points. Channel catfish fair on juglines and trotlines baited with cut bait. Crappie good in the upper end of the lake around structure and standing timber on minnows and jigs. Eufaula: October 26. Elevation 1/2 ft. below normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on buzzbaits and crankbaits in rocky areas. White bass slow. Blue catfish fair on fresh shad drifting the shallower flats. Crappie fair at 8-20 ft. around brush piles and boat docks.
Hugo: October 26. Elevation normal, water 73. Largemouth bass good on buzzbaits and crankbaits in late evening. Catfish slow. Blue catfish good on cut shad below the dam. Crappie fair on minnows around brush piles. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw and Bryan Counties.
Konawa: October 26. Elevation normal, water 67 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits at 8-10 ft. around points and roadbeds. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver at 15 ft. in the discharge canal. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.
Lower Mountain Fork River: Oct. 20. Fish for trout early or late in the day. Low light is the key. A good tactic is to use two flies. One large attractor pattern and a much smaller fly that mimics the actual insects available to the fish. Flies to try are egg patterns, worm patterns, Humpys, elk hair caddis and stimulators. Dropper flies are small soft hackles, pheasant tail, zebra midge, prismatic and emerger. Report submitted by Beavers Bend Fly Shop.
McGee Creek: Oct. 27. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal, water 75 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on plastic craws and crawfish colored crankbaits at 6-18 ft. along rocky points. Pine Creek: Oct. 20. Elevation normal and clear. Bass fair on crawfish and other live bait at 10-12 ft. on deep running crankbaits around points as well. Robert S. Kerr: Oct. 27. Elevation normal, water 68 and murky. Largemouth bass good at 3-6 ft. using crankbaits on the rocks and plastic baits in the weeds. Crappie fair at 8 ft. using minnows fishing the old creek channels. White bass fair at 10 ft. using jigs fishing below Webbers Falls dam.Blue catfish good at 3-10 ft. using worms, fresh cut bait and minnows fishing the standing timber where the cormorants roost. Sardis Lake: October 26. Bass good to fair on crankbaits around points and creek channels and around cover on spinnerbaits. Crappie good off of Jack Fork bridge with minnows and off of tower on live minnows, and on brush piles using pink grubs or green and black activity is better at night. Flathead catfish slow on live bait on jugs or trotlines. Blue and channel catfish fair on jugs and trotlines on cut bait or shrimp. White bass good trolling around islands and on plugs and excellent when found surfacing. Walleye fair trolling around islands. Texoma: Oct. 27. Elevation 2 ft. below normal, water 73 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good in the creek channels. Striped and white bass fair to good on live bait from Platter Flats south. Channel and blue catfish fair to good on live bait and cut baits north of the highway 70 bridge. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs around underwater brush. Sunfish good on worms around fish attractors and docks. All other fishing is slow.
