ATHENS, Texas—The Ridgle family of Brownsboro swept the top three positions at the annual Bluegill Family Fishing Tournament held at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center October 11.

First place went to Pam and Zay Ridgle, second place to Margaret Compton and Eli Ridgle and third place to Shana Clark and Issac Ridgle, all of Brownsboro.

Placing fourth were Chris and Kenzi Walker of Tyler. Fifth place went to Mark and Wyah Standridge of Canton.

The grand door prize of a one-year family membership in the American Fish and Game Club was won by Shawn and Casey Partanen of Larue. This prize was won last year by Mark, Melissa, Gracie and Wyah Standridge and was donated back.

Sponsors for the event included Shakespeare, Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, Eagle Claw and the American Fish and Game Club.
