Dallas,TX- Aug 15, 2008 -- As this year's 2008 football season kicks-off you will find local high school players beginning their rigorous two-a-day practices, the Dallas Cowboys gearing up for an exciting pre-season, and a young group of Dallas women, both blondes and brunettes, perfecting their flag football offensive and defensive strategies to tackle Alzheimer's disease.
Blondes vs. Brunettes Dallas (http://www.bvbdallas.org/) is 50 of Dallas' most talented, intellectual and gorgeous blondes and brunettes accompanied by 20 motivated male coaches; that have dedicated their time and support to create awareness for Alzheimer's by participating in a powder puff flag football fundraiser. This event has raised over $60,000 in just six short weeks.

Why: Alzheimer's disease affects over 50,000 North Texans, with another victim added to the rank every 71 seconds.
Blondes vs. Brunettes first began in Washington D.C., and then were held in Houston, now it has made its way to North Texas for its inaugural debut. Each player set a fundraising goal of $250 or more to express their passion and motivation for the success of the BvB event and more importantly for finding a cure for Alzheimer's.
The commitment of their personal time to their weekly football practices and remarkable fundraising skills serves as an encouraging message to North Texas' Generations X & Y - encouraging them to become involved, advocate, and join the cause.
