Bonham's Amber White was rewarded for the hard work that went into the basketball season when the Lady Warrior junior was named 2008 All-Texomaland Defensive Player of the Year

White finished the season with 67 blocks, including a 10-block performance against Van Alstyne when the versatile athlete dominated the action by putting a triple-double in the scorebook.

Amber also pulled down over 200 rebounds and scored over 200 points during the 2007-08 season.

"All things in life are possible," White says.  "If you believe, it can be achieved."

Another BHS junior, Ashley Leeks, received recognition as honorable mention for the All-Texomaland squad.

Bonham's Amber White was named All-Texomaland Defensive Player of the Year because of plays like this block against Celina.
