Saltillo Lady Lions 46, Dodd City Lady Hornets 30

Dodd City's Kamey Herpeche dropped in a dozen points and Cecily Darwin scored 10, but it wasn't enough to keep Saltillo from picking up a 16-point win.

Callie Maxwell had four points, while Cassidi Rogers and Lorran Anderson each tossed in two points to round out the Lady Hornet scoring.

"I was pleased with our effort, but we didn't settle down and run offense like we needed," stated Dodd City head coach Jason Wilson.  "That, combined with the lack of defensive rebounding, is what made the difference in the game."

Saltillo Lions 42, Dodd City Hornets 24

The Dodd City boys basketball team lost to Saltillo Friday night by the score of 42-24.  Good defense by the Saltillo Lions limited the Hornets scoring opportunities and kept them to a season low of 24 points.

Scoring for Dodd City was Ethan Stephens with 8, Dalton Herndon & Colin Taylor with 4, Garrett Sadler & Ethan Renfro with 3, and Chance Peeler with 2 points.  The Hornets will play Roxton at Dodd City Tuesday.
