Call to Order and Invocation

1. Minutes of the June 9th meetings.

2. Financial report for month ending June 30, 2008.  

3. Citizens Opportunity to Speak:  [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly  address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study  and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda.  State law prohibits the City Council from  considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.]

4. Hold public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance amending the existing gas franchise ordinance with Atmos Energy Corporation. 

5. Consider and take action on resolution denying proposed change in rates for Oncor Electric Delivery Company. 

6. Hold final public hearing for closeout of ORCA – Texas Community Development Block Grant Program #726081.  

7. Consider and take action on Fannin County Appraisal District 2009 Operations Budget.  

8. Consider and take action to appoint or re-appoint members to the following:
a) Planning and Zoning Commission Alternate – two-year term   b) Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals – two-year term  

9. Hold public hearing and consider and take action on ordinance conveying city-owned properties located at 415 West Seventh and 609 East Ninth. 

10. Consider request to advertise for sealed bids for TWDB Water Distribution System Improvements Contract B.  

11. Consider and take action to accept donation of real property located adjacent to the City Street Department. 

12.  Consider and take action on a resolution nominating a candidate to fill a vacancy on the Fannin County Appraisal District Board of Directors
