The Texas Rangers recently elevated their game to raise more than $360,000 for charity at the sixth annual Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play fundraiser. Net proceeds benefited the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

Conceived by Texas Rangers television announcer Josh Lewin, the six Triple Play events have raised more than $1-million to date. FSN Southwest will feature highlights of the Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play in their “Under the Lights” series at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24.

The sold-out game show spectacular gave a group of 500 fans the opportunity to intereact with the Texas Rangers players and coaches, broadcasters and executives in a ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Players and coaches squared off in Fielder’s Feud, based on the popular TV game show Family Feud, and Steal or No Steal, tailored after Deal or No Deal. For the first time, the Rangers Foundation also raffled a car in conjunction with the Triple Play.

Sam Shovel of Flower Mound won a smart fortwo. People have been scrambling to get on a one-year waiting list for the popular two-seater. Guests bid for unique auction items in a live and silent auction, including a trip to the final Major League Baseball All-Star Game to be held at historic Yankee Stadium, a trip on the Texas Rangers team plane, exquisite jewelry from Bachendorf’s and autographed sports and Hollywood memorabilia.

Among the most coveted items were a trip to Cabo San Lucas, framed Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus memorabilia and a custom Texas Rangers poker table.

Established in 1991, The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is a charitable non-profit 501©3 organization which raises and distributes funds to provide financial assistance to individuals in times of crisis, as well as opportunities to disadvantaged individuals throughout Texas and in other geographic areas where the Texas Rangers Baseball Club has made a substantial commitment to that community.

Founded in 1987, Park Place Dealerships represents Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Porsche, smart, Volvo, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maserati. More information is available at www.parkplacetexas.com.
