STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS— Tarleton State University faculty and staff recently gathered for the 2008 annual Distinguished Service picnic to honor employees and celebrate the end of a successful academic year. Hosted by the President’s office, the event brings together the extended university family and recognizes employees who have reached milestones in their service to the university.
Among those recognized at the picnic was President Dennis P. McCabe, who will step down from his position in August. McCabe was honored with a 20-year plaque.
Reaching the 35-year mark at Tarleton were Michael Wade, James Konvicka, Ronald Giles and Sue Cullers.
Recipients of the 30-year plaque included Linda Schultz, Linda Land, Edward Knoll, Randall Joiner and Elizabeth Chandler.
Honored for 25 years of service were Mallory Young, James Smith, Janet Schmelzer, Charles Rives, Ronald Newsome, Connie Murry, Benedda Konvicka, James Kirby, Jonathan Hooper, Mary Etzel and Boyd Collier.
Twenty-year plaques went to Maureen Scantling, Lonn Reisman, Janis Petronis, Richard Petronis, Karen Murray, Stephen McReynolds, Dennis McCabe, Charles Lilly, Mark Holtorf, Tracey Holley, Samuel Hazen, E. Randall Dolloff and Richard Cruz.
Recipients of the 15-year plaques were Jennifer Watts, Jeffery Stroebel, David Snyder, Sharlene Shigley, Wendell Sadler, James Rogers, Stephen Plumlee, Betty Pack, Anne McFarland, Dennis Jones, Sharon Iley, Larry Hauck, Johnny Feagan, Steven Chambers, Cynthia Black and Todd Adams.
