Kimbell Art Museum presents adult Friday workshop: 'Masterminds in Art' May 16

FORT WORTH—The Kimbell Art Museum presents “Masterminds in Art,” a Friday Workshop for adults, on May 16, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. This afternoon program includes gallery tours and an art workshop for adults of all ages.

Participants will examine selected paintings in the Museum galleries to discover how artists such as Monet, Pissarro, and Munch conceived their compositions. Based on these observations, they will rearrange elements from a painting in the collection to create a new artwork of their own.

The materials fee is $15 ($12 for Kimbell members); a light snack from the Buffet Restaurant is included. To register, contact the education department at 817-332-8451, ext. 297.
