Robert Raymond Clang was born Dec. 24, 1930 in Norwich, Connecticut, and died April 21, 2008 in Bonham, TX after a brief illness. LTC Clang retired from the US Army in 1975 after a 20-year career and two distinguished tours of duty in Vietnam. Bob enjoyed a successful real estate and insurance business in Ladonia, TX as well as serving with the US Postal Service for several years in his hometown.
Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Juanita Bryant Clang; sons, Tim and wife Cathee, Mike and wife, Tiffany, Patrick, Rob and wife, Debra, daughter, Nancy Clang Knoll and husband, Mark; stepson, David Lambert; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard, Joseph, David and Ray; and 17 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Felix Clang and brothers, Philip and James.
A visitation will be held at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29 and a reception at Webb Hill Country Club, 438 FM 2358, Wolfe City, TX on Thursday, May 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2008 in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.
