Senior Warrior Boy and Girl of the Month for April

For the month of April, seniors Jessica Blain and Coty Schneider have been chosen selected Senior Warrior Boy and Girl of the Month for Bonham High School.

Jessica is the daughter of Lea Ann and Jimmy Blain. She has two sisters, Lisa and Leslie, and a brother, Steve. She is also proud of her five nephews and one niece.

Of special interest to Jessica is helping people, and especially children. She is very involved in BHS sports and activities. Jessica plays volleyball and softball; is a varsity cheerleader; is a member of the swim team and is a member of the National Honor Society. 

Jessica was selected for volleyball 1st team All-District, and 2nd team All-Texomaland, in  softball defensive MVP, and softball 2nd team All-District. She has been a swimming regional qualifier and an All-Star cheerleader. Jessica also served as the NHS treasurer this school year.

Her hobbies include shopping, sports, being with friends and family and being outdoors. Her community activities include March of Dimes, food drives, helping with field days at other schools, and helping with Special Olympics and Autism Benefits, as well as participating in her church’s mission trip.

In the fall Jessica is planning to attend UT-Arlington to get a Bachelors of Science in nursing. After college she wants to work at a children’s hospital in the Dallas area.

Coty Schneider is the son of Diane Moore and James. T. Moore III. His special interests include Biblical studies, archeology and cultures.
He is played basketball his freshman and sophomore years and tennis his freshman through junior years. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Coty’s hobbies include basketball, tennis, running, Bible study and playing guitar.

He has volunteered in the community by helping with vacation Bible school and was a Manna House Volunteer through Disciple Now. Coy has also been of several church mission trips to South Dakota, one to South Texas and one to New Mexico.

After graduation he wants to attend Dallas Baptist University and major in Biblical Studies and Biblical Archeology.

Each month the faculty of Bonham High School selects one senior boy and girl who meet the qualifications of good character, scholarship, citizenship, leadership, dependability, and participation in extracurricular activities and/or service to the community.

The seniors selected each month receive a free lunch compliments of Cappy’s Café with the administration or a member of the Board of Trustees, have their pictures taken to be displayed in the school and have their pictures and bios published in the local media. 

Once selected, the seniors are then eligible to become the Warrior Boy or Girl of the Year which will be announced at the Senior Awards Assembly in May.
