From the opening day, District 12-A has offered plenty of action and the last day of district play was certainly no different. 

The Dodd City Lady Hornets are district champs after beating Trenton 16-0 on Friday to finish the regular season at 11-3.  The Ector Lady Eagles had started the day tied with Dodd City, but a loss to Sam Rayburn give the Ector girls a 10-4 mark and second place.

The fun isn't over yet in District 12-A, however, because Sam Rayburn and Bland will meet Monday at 5:00 p.m. in Leonard for a play-in that will determine the third playoff team that will represent this very competitive district.
