Trenton -- The Trenton Tigers led Dodd City 17-12 after the first quarter, but Michael Foreman started the second stanza with two triples and The Tigers had doubled up on the Hornets, 38-19 at the half.
Trenton's Justin Duncan had three blocks in the first quarter and the senior post turned in another strong performance on both ends of the court.
Dodd City's Garrett Sadler scored 16 points, including four treys, in the third period, but the Tigers managed to match the Hornets point-for-point and Trenton led 60-40 going into the fourth quarter. Dodd City trimmed three points off the margin down the stretch, giving Trenton a 74-57 victory.
Michael Foreman tossed in 21 points to lead Trenton, Justin Duncan finished with 13 points, Daniel Dailey dropped in a dozen, Keith Davis had eight points, Trevor Lynn scored six, Pate Hubbart finished with five points, while Austen Barnes and Ryan McCarley each chipped in four points and T.J. Oquin hit a free throw.
Dodd City's Garrett Sadler had a game-high 26 points, Patrick Moore put up seven points, Chance Peeler scored six and Ethan Stephens finished with five points.
Trenton advances to the finals to take on Sam Rayburn at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, while Dodd City and Avery play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for third place.
