Trenton Tigers 70, Bells 51

The Bells Panthers (2-1) traveled to Trenton (5-0) Monday night to face off with the Tigers.  Bells was the first to score, but Trenton would lead the rest of the game and go on to win 70-51.  Both teams found it hard to score in the first quarter, but Trenton  would lead 9-4 at the end of the first. 

Both teams picked up the pace in the second stanza, but despite Bells' 20-point quarter they just couldn't make up lost ground, and at the half Trenton led, 35-24. 

In the third quarter, Bells would find themselves in foul trouble, with three players having four fouls.  Trenton limited Bells to 14 points in the third quarter, giving the Tigers a 54-38 advantage entering the fourth quarter.  At the final buzzer, Trenton came out on top 70-51.  Both teams played hard and hustled till the end of the game.

Trenton point guard Michael Foreman finished with a game-high 21 points.  Daniel Dailey dropped in eight points, Trevor Lynn scored seven, Brock Murphree made six points, with Austen Barnes and Joe Gregory each contributing five points.
 
Leading scorer for Bells was Nathan Martin with 14 points and 12 rebounds.  Derek Elk had 13 points.  Ryan Klose tossed in seven points grabbed six rebounds.  Jordan Shults dropped in six points while going 2-for-3 from three-point range.  Adam Cunningham pitched in four points and five rebounds.  Reed Klose scored three points, had three steals, and three assists.  Matt Romig had two points and five rebounds and Cody Stern also had two points for the Panthers.
 
Bells will travel to Wichita Falls Friday, November 23 for the Fantasy of Lights Tournament at Midwestern State University.  The Panthers are scheduled to play their first game against Pilot Point at 1:30 p.m.
