The Bonham girls (17-8, 5-2) will travel to Celina on Tuesday and hope to bring home a win that will keep the Lady Warriors in the thick of a competitive district race.

A young Bonham team has had moments of superlative play, particularly in a big win at Frisco Wakeland that seemed to prove the Lady Warriors were ready to play with anyone that stepped out onto the court with them.  Unfortunately, Bonham appeared to lose focus against Princeton and paid the price.  The loss to Princeton leaves the Lady Warriors battling for a playoff spot.

District 9-3A may get very interesting, however.  Lovejoy (6-1), a team that swept Bonham on September 11, makes their first trip to Bonham on Friday, October 5.  Frisco Wakeland will no doubt be counting the days until they can try to avenge a sweep to Bonham and Wakeland will come calling October 16.

But the Lady Warriors must also take care of business in tough matches against Celina on October 2 and Prosper on October 9.  As Bonham found out against Princeton, every team in District 9-3A is good enough to make you stop thinking about an exciting playoff run and start thinging about practicing free throws.

For three fortunate teams, playoffs start later this month.  In the next few days, the teams that want to get in on that excitement will do what it takes to get there.  So, stay tuned.  This has the potential to be the most frantic district finish in years.  And it all starts Tuesday in Celina.
