The Frisco Wakeland Lady Wolverines earned a share of the lead in District 9-3A by knocking off No 17 Lovejoy and leaving the first blemish on the Lady Leopards' district record. 

Both teams are now 5-1.

Wakeland controlled the action in the opener, winning 25-21.  The victory propelled the Lady Wolverines to a fast start in game two and Wakeland pulled away to win 25-16.

Game three was exactly what you would expect from the two top-ranked teams in District 9-3A. 

Wakeland and Lovejoy battled all the way to a 26-26 tie before the Lady Wolverines sealed the sweep with the final two points of the evening.
