Pilot Point rushed for 280 yards and picked up 185 yards through the air in a convincing 41-20 win over Paradise.
Pilot Point's outstanding junior running back Cooper Guthrie scored twice and ran for close to 100 yards, but it was Jarman Johnson's show Friday night. Johnson averaged 26 yards every time he got the ball against the Paradise defense. He caught three passes for 125 yards, carried seven times for 75 yards and scampered 91 yards on a kick-off return.
Pilot Point led 13-7 after the first quarter and the Bearcats stretched their lead to 27-13 at the half. Two long TD runs in the third period gave Pilot Point a 41-13 advantage and the Bearcats coasted to a 41-20 win.
