Sgt. Tim Shearer responded to a call of Harassment on Main Street in Sadler.  A student at the S&S Middle School reported to the principal that between 9am & 10:30am, someone who identified himself as a 19-year old sent 27 text messages to her cell phone with some of them not being appropriate.  The student told Sgt. Shearer that she did not respond, but only to ask whom he was.  Through investigation Sgt. Shearer contacted the man’s cell phone but it went to voice mail.  The male was identified and further investigation will continue.

Deputy Joe Ross responded to a burglary of a building off of FM-121 near Van Alstyne.  The complainant stated they heard the dogs barking aggressively Saturday night and again last night.  Both times, they looked out but could not see anything out of the ordinary.  When they arrived home this date, they discovered the shop door open and a laptop and CPU were missing.  Total value of the items taken were $700.00.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a frantic babysitter that the three-year-old child she was babysitting had disappeared while she was doing laundry.  Sgt. Rickey Wheeler, Deputy Gary Estes from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Whitesboro P.D. and Whitesboro Fire & EMS arrived on the scene.  Because the swimming pool was so murky, we could not see the bottom, so Whitesboro EMS personnel waded into the pool to make sure the child had not gone in.  Other Deputies were checking the outer buildings and grounds while the babysitter put up the guard dogs in a room inside the residence.  Once this was done, Lt. David Hawley and Whitesboro Fire Department personnel entered the residence to start the search inside.  The kitchen was checked and went down a hallway to the laundry room where the babysitter said she was working.  In the open closet, Lt. Hawley discovered the 3-year old asleep on the floor.  Lt. Hawley called him by name, he woke up and put his arms up to pick him up.  The child was given to the mother who arrived on scene.

While deputies were checking around the residence they discovered a 6 foot tall Marijuana plant growing in the flower bed.  After checking for warrants on the babysitter, it was found that she had a Theft-by-Check warrant out of Cooke County.
