Storm drops match to Henderson State, 3-0

Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Southeastern Oklahoma State volleyball team (2-3) were unable to exact revenge on the Henderson State (Ark.) Lady Reddies (5-0) on Saturday, falling 3-0 in the final game of the Henderson State Tournament in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Storm dropped the games by scores of 30-28, 30-23 and 30-21.

Team hitting once again hurt Southeastern, as the team combined for a .084 hitting percentage, while HSU finished at .289.

Destiny Brown and Krista Stamp paced the Storm, with each collecting 10 kills. Brown also led the team in digs with eight.

Lindsay Ellisor finished with a game-high 26 assists.

Stamp was an offensive bright spot as she finished the match with 10 kills and just two attack errors en route to a .421 hitting percentage.

Edith Musebe led the Lady Reddies with 14 kills, while Bethany Wright finished with 10 digs on the defensive side.

The Savage Storm will be back in action on September 7 when they face Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) at 11 a.m. Denton, Texas, at the Texas Woman's Tournament where SOSU will play a total of four games over two days.
