Cpl. Randy Harmon received a call of a Burglary of a Building in Knollwood west of Sherman.  Upon arrival Cpl. Harmon met with complainant at the office where he observed the door had been pried open and the safe had been tampered with.  Taken was money, payroll checks and a safe.

 

Deputy Joe Ross received a call of theft of mail from a residence off of Delphia Drive east of Denison.  The man stated that several residence in the area had there bank of mailboxes broken into and items taken out of there boxes.  Report was made to his bank in the event any checks were inside and the post office was contacted.

 

Deputy Chris Gautier, while on patrol, observed a vehicle with no front license tag that was registered in Texas.  The vehicle was traveling north and was stopped about a mile south of the Texas-Oklahoma border north of Denison.  The man he was a 21-year-old b/m from Houston.  He told Deputy Gautier that he was on his way to Houston.  Deputy Gautier advised the man he was going the wrong direction to be going to Houston.  The man gave consent to search his vehicle and patted down for officer safety.  As Deputy Gautier began searching and got closer to the back, the man started getting nervous and asking questions.  Deputy Gautier was assisted by Sgt. Rick Wheeler and another narcotics deputy in the search.  Found in the vehicle was a loaded 9mm handgun, next to the gun was a razor blade, approximately $591.00 in cash and a clear plastic baggie containing white rock like substances consistent with Crack Cocaine.  The rock like substance was field tested positive for Cocaine. 

 

The 21-year old driver was identified as Earnest Jerome Taylor, Jr. of Houston, Texas was arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance under 200grams, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and No Front License Plate. 

 

He was released after posting $6,500.00 in bonds.

 

Deputy Jerry Hudman was given a wallet a Pottsboro man found in the intersection of FM-84 & FM-406 west of Denison.  The wallet had a driver’s license and school I.D. but nothing else inside.  Deputy Hudman contacted the Sherman man and took his wallet to him.  The man stated was approximately $170.00 in cash and a bank debit card inside the wallet, but both were missing.  The man contacted his bank and learned that someone had charges and withdrew money from the card.  A report was made to his bank.

 

A Whitesboro man reported to Cpl. Randy Harmon that someone had entered his residence and took money from the kitchen.  He stated there were no signs of forced entry and the homeowner gave him two possible suspects.  The investigation is continuing.   

 

Grayson County Narcotics Deputies went to a local motel to attempt to serve an arrest warrant and got more than they bargained for.  While watching for the suspect, she came out of the motel room and was arrested on the parking lot.  While filling out the paperwork, a black SUV pulled into the parking lot near the motel room and a black male come out of the same room where the suspect was.  The male went to the SUV and was detained and questioned.  The male was arrested for narcotics violation and the driver of the SUV was arrested on outstanding warrants.  Taken to Grayson County Jail was 26-year old Jennelle Nelson of Whitesboro for warrants of Possession of Controlled Substance under 28 grams x 2, and Possession of Dangerous Drugs (has been released), Steven Ray Walker 23-year old of Sherman was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Possession of Marijuana under 4 ounces (still in custody), Millye Baldwin 28-year old of Denison was arrested for outstanding warrants for Motion to Revoke Probation on a Possession of Marijuana, Theft of Property under $500.00, Speeding and Expired Operators License from JP #2 and 4 Traffic Warrants out of Denison P.D. (she still remains in jail).
