Sherman Art League members are offering a preview exhibit, “Texomaland,” 24 canvases, each representing one artist’s interpretation of that subject. The exhibit is on display now until the Sherman Arts Festival in the lobby of American Bank of Texas, 2011 Texoma Parkway.
Continuing a tradition begun last year, the paintings will be offered individually in the Texomaland Collector’s Auction. Allen Harshbarger will conduct the live auction at Sherman Arts Festival, September 15, at 1 p.m., in the Sherman Municipal Ballroom.
Marion Orchard, chairman for the project, stated that this will be an opportunity for the beginning collector, as well as for those wanting to add pieces by a favorite artist to an existing collection.
The Sherman Art League Fall Fine Art Show and Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15, from 9 – 5 in the ballroom.
