Peruvian educator visits Bonham Rotary Club

Mary Fae Kamm, who is Chairperson of the RITE (Rotary International Teacher Exchange) Program for Rotary International District 5810, gave an informative program to the local Rotary Club at their May 16 meeting. She introduced Ernie Lopez to the club. Ernie is a Shipbo Indian educator who is in the United States for the month of May. He is the principal of an elementary and high school in Yarinacoca, Peru.
 
Using a Spanish intepreter, Barbara Pankratz with the International Museum of Cultures in Dallas, Ernie expressed his appreciation for the local club's annual donation to the RITE Program, and spoke some in his native Shipbo Indian language.
   
The Bonham Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 12 noon at the Family Life Center.
