At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad train was south bound near Farmington Road crossing when they saw something in between the tracks.  At first the engineer said it looked like a pile of rocks, but as they got closer, they discovered it was a body laying between the tracks in a fetal position.

The engineer attempted to stop the 95-car train loaded with rock, but could not until it reached almost a mile down the track and ½ mile north of Ford Road.  The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office was contacted of the incident.

Investigator David Sikes is heading the investigation. The body of the 35-year-old Sherman man was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.
