DURANT, Okla. - Southeastern Okahoma State coach Cherrie Wilmoth announced the signing of four players to National Letters of Intent Thursday afternoon to bring this year's volleyball signing class to five.

The class addresses all of Southeastern's needs after the Storm graduated record holders in three different postions, including outside hitter Olivia Franceskini, setter Megan Graham and middle blocker Jennifer Landry.

Following in their footsteps will be transfers Lindsay Ellisor from Hill College and Krista Stamp from Brookhaven College to go along with a trio of prep performers in Jackie Arend, Danyel Loyd and Jordan Parks, who inked in the early signing period last fall.

"Although we graduated one of our best senior classes last year, this class allows us the opportunity to build upon their success," Wilmoth said. "We will have more attack options and we will be taller all along the net."

Ellisor, a 5-9 setter from Deer Park, Texas, received first- and second-team All-North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference in her two seasons at Hill College. During her two seasons in Hillsboro, she ranked nationally in assists per game while helping the Lady Rebels to a 2005 Region V runner-up finish.

"Lindsay is a very consistent setter who will add the dimension of verticality to our block on the right side," Wilmoth said. "She will also bring maturity and leadership to the floor."

Stamp, a 5-9 outside hitter from Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas, spent seasons at North Central Texas and Brookhaven colleges.

She helped the Lady Bears to a Metro Athletic Conference championship and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division III national championships where she was named to the all-tournament team.

Stamp was a first-team All-Metro Athletic Conference selection and ranked among the national leaders with 3.55 kills per game while hitting .299.

"I am excited about having Krista join our squad next season," Wilmoth said. "She will add depth to our outsiding hitting position. She is very quick on her attack and has the ability to play defense and pass the ball."

Arend, a 5-9 outside hitter from Tulsa Union High School, earned second-team all-conference and second-team all-state honors during her career as a Redskin.

"Jackie has a great presence on the front row and brings a heavy ball with her attack," Wilmoth said.

Arend, whose sister, Kelli, plays basketball at Southeastern, will be attending SOSU as part of the honors program this fall.

Loyd, a 5-3 defensive specialist from Castroville, Texas, completed a distinguished career at Medina Valley High School.

"Danyel is an excellent passer and has a great work ethic," Wilmoth said. "I am looking forward to working with her over the next several years."

Loyd is carrying on a family tradition as both of her parents attended and graduated from Southeastern.

The Savage Storm, which is coming off of their second-straight 19-win season, open the 2007 campaign by playing host to the Southeastern Tournament on August 24.
