56th Carter Family Reunion

The relatives of the late W. A. and Lydia Carter met at the Greenville Sports Park on Saturday, Sept 9, 2006 for a pot luck luncheon.

60 Family members attended from El Dorado Arkansas, Lone Oak Texas, Kaufman, Royce City, Bonham, Savoy, Caddo Mills, Iredell, Arlington, Garland, Dallas, Honey Grove, Paris, Denison, and Sherman Texas.

Prizes were given to the youngest, oldest, newly weds, longest married, and the one's who traveled the longest distance.

Mary Etta Pruitt was the oldest present at 88 years.

Ashly Nichole Johnson was the youngest at 2 months old.

Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Cooksey Sr. and son, Gary and Sharron Cooksey from El Dorado Ak. traveled the longest distance.

Sallie & James Edward Cooksey Sr. received the prize for 61 years of marriage.

Dillard & Hazel Graham , 3 years of marriage.

42 games were played and all had a great time, who attended.
