Amy White, 6th grade Math teacher Tom Bean Middle School was named Texas Rural Education Association’s Teacher of the Year at the Annual Convention held at the St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio, Texas on June 16, 2006.

Dr. Jerry Stout, Tom Bean’s Superintendent said, “Mrs. White was chosen because she makes learning Math fun and incorporates technology and other activities into her lessons to teach students real-life Math.”
