Eureka Springs, AR -- The legendary and ever-popular Taj Mahal will perform two shows June 2 at The Auditorium in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to kickoff the Eureka Springs Blues Festival. Former producer, Sally Thackery is back as Festival Director for the City Advertising and Promotion Commission, and so are many favorites from previous festivals.

"When I called people who had been coming to the Blues Festival for years and told them I was again producing the event, the joyous reaction from each one was 'It's a reunion', so the name was an obvious choice," says Thackery.

She recently enjoyed an especially great weekend full of fun and camaraderie at her high school reunion in Malvern, thus the Blues Reunion really felt appropriate. Tickets are again available in packages so Blues fans can reserve their seats and plan their weekend ahead of time to see the array of national Blues acts in the intimacy of the historic City Auditorium, Basin Park Hotel Ballroom, Tiki Torch, Caribe, Pied Piper, Chelsea's, Shawbee's or the new outdoor Eureka Music Park for camping and music all afternoon and into the night.

Other performers coming to the Reunion include Sonny Landreth, John Mooney, Jimmy Thackery, Reba Russell, the legendary James Cotton, The Cate Brothers, Carolyn Wonderland, Patrick Sweany, Chris Duarte, Scott Holt, Tony Rio, the Eoff Brothers, The Tablerockers and more.

The Zack Bramhall Band will be featured at a new all-ages venue, formerly Center Stage, to offer a no alcohol, no smoking environment.
