McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) is pleased to announce that it has awarded project grants to support quality-of-life projects that will benefit the community.

As a steward of community investment, MCDC carefully evaluates funding proposals through a thorough review process that includes detailed board analysis and comprehensive presentations from applicants. Each selected project is chosen for its strong potential to benefit both residents and visitors while enhancing the overall quality of life in McKinney.

Among the $10.6 million in Project Grants awarded by MCDC at the August 28 board meeting are:
“These projects align directly with MCDC strategic priorities and our mission to work as a partner to fund community, cultural, and economic development projects in McKinney,” said MCDC Board Chair Angela Richardson-Woods. “Our vision to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors of all ages and backgrounds is evident in these awarded grants.”
MCDC plays a pivotal role in supporting signature projects across McKinney, including retail development, affordable housing, parks and open spaces, entertainment venues, community festivals, and mobility infrastructure. Each grant represents a strategic investment in the future of McKinney.
