Bonham, Texas -- Michael Ray Allen, 68, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and steadfast friendship that touched everyone who knew him.

He was born on October 26, 1957, in Richardson, Texas, to Jody and Claude Allen and from an early age he carried the warm, easygoing spirit that would come to define his life. Michael was known throughout his life as a loving and friendly man, someone who made others feel welcome, valued, and at ease. He had a gentle way about him and a genuine interest in the people around him, which helped him build lasting relationships wherever he went.

Michael spent much of his working life employed by a subcontractor installing lines for AT&T, a career that allowed him to travel all over the world. He took pride in his work and approached it with dedication and responsibility. His travels gave him the opportunity to see many places, but no matter where he found himself, he carried with him the same humble character and sincere heart that those closest to him knew so well. He was dependable in his work and steady in his manner, and he earned the respect of those who worked beside him.

Outside of work, Michael found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing and looked forward to time spent outdoors, where he could relax, reflect, and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. He also loved hunting with his brother Mark and with friends, and these times together created memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Above all, Michael treasured his role as PaPa to his grandchildren. Being with them brought him great happiness, and he embraced that role with a loving heart and a proud smile.

Michael was a sweet spirit and a friend to all. He had a way of connecting with people from all walks of life, and his kindness left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. He was the kind of man who offered friendship freely and without hesitation, and his presence brought comfort and light to many. His life was a reflection of the values he lived by every day, including loyalty, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the people around him.

He is preceded by mother, Jody Allen, and brother Mark Allen. Michael is survived by, father, Claude Allen and wife, Kathy, uncle, Ken Allen and wife, Leonia, daughter, Nikki Stieben and husband, Brad, sons, Matthew Allen, Justin Allen and wife, Erin, along with five grandchildren.
